September/October Calls Now Open!

The calls for the July/August issue are now closed. However, no worries. We're already thinking ahead to our fall issue!

We had nearly FIFTY unique and talented scrapbook and paper crafting artists accepted for publication in the July/August issue, and here is YOUR chance to have a spot in our September/October publication!

Sept/Oct 2008 Issue Page/Project Calls
(Deadline July 1st, 2008):

"Fall Themed" Layouts & Mini Books:
• Halloween
• Fall Festivals
• Back to School & School-related layouts, paper projects & altered items (notebooks, planners, etc.)
• Fall Colors (layouts, cards, paper projects & altered items with fall color palettes)
• Layouts with Leaves
• Fall paper decorations & altered decorative items

Additional projects wanted:
• Layouts & Paper Projects using Paint (acrylic, watercolor, etc.)
• Breast Cancer Awareness Layouts, cards, paper projects, etc.
• Geek Is Chic—Layouts about gadgets and electronics
• Scrapbooking organization ideas - Show us how you organize your stuff. Upload pictures of your organized scrap space, custom scrap supply organizational products, etc.

We'd also like to see:
• Altered electronics & tools—did you paint, stamp, or cover your computer monitor, laptop, cell phone, Cricut machine, MP3 player, etc. with paper, stickers, bling, or other scrappy supplies? We want to see them!

We Have A Weeeeeeeeeeeener!!!!

Scrap N' Art wants to welcome all of our new subscribers! Yesterday was a phenominal subscription day for us and we thank each and every one of you for helping us make this e-Zine what it is!

YOU ROCK!

Thank you to ALL the wonderful scrappers who made our day yesterday by posting your HILARIOUS quips, jokes and stories. You had us all laughing all day long! The posts were FABULOUS and you all had me up until the wee hours of the morning trying to decide which of these posts to choose as our winner! The competition was stiff, but in the end we had to choose just one.. so here is the post that had not only me, but half of the Scrap N' Art staff CRACKING UP!

"Why you should pick me: because National Scrapbooking Day is so important that I have actually hired a babysitter for th day so I can scrapbook. No joke. My husband thinks I am insane, which may be a problem, because he is a psychologist, so he is supposed to know about these things. But if he has me locked up, think about how much happier I'll be if I can take all those great goodies with me. Wonder if they'd let me keep my paper trimmer...

National Scrapbooking Day at Scrap N' Art!

Oh you KNOW what today is!

Yessiree Bob! It's NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!

YESSSSSSSSS! A day for US! A day upon which we can stay in our jammies all day long and do what we do best! A day to commemorate this wonderful hobby we all love, adore and spend ENTIRELY too much money on! (and eat POUNDS of M&Ms too)!

To honor this blessed day (and take full advantage of the fact that I managed to get administrative POWER on this here webbie-site *snicker*) I am going to GIVE AWAY, yes... I said "GIVE AWAY" a rockin' little Scrap N' Art prize package to ONE lucky scrapbooker who leaves me the one comment that just CRACKS ME UP!

Last Day for June/July Submissions!

Today (May 1st) at midnight, US Eastern time is the cut-off for any submissions for the July/August issue of Scrap N' Art. If you are thinking of submitting, now is the time!

We will open the September/October call tomorrow, so be sure to check back and see what groovy kind of stuff we're looking for in our fall issue!

Digital Scrapbook Designer Needed!

We have an opening on our design team for a digital designer! Our digital designers are in charge of working with our digital shops to produce articles and projects that feature their products for our publication. In addition, our digital designers produce articles, tutorials and other digital-scrapbooking content for the eZine.

If you are a digital scrapbooker that thinks outside-the-box, likes working with TONS of fresh and funky digital products, and works well under a deadline, then email a link to your online portfolio/gallery to editor@scrapnart.com

Those without a digital portfolio/gallery will not be considered.

Designers who also have experience creating digital kits and other digital page elements will receive special consideration. If you have digital kits and elements that you have created, but cannot be placed in your gallery or portfolio, please email sample images to the above email address along with the link to your portfolio/gallery.

Deadline to submit your gallery link is May 15th, 2008.

We happily announce the premiere issue (May/June 2008) of the Scrap N\' Art eZine. A lot of love and hard work went into this little publication, and we hope you enjoy it!

July/August Publication Calls!

PLEASE NOTE that our submission rules & instructions have changed. Click here to read the revised submission rules & instructions. If you do not follow the instructions, your project may not be reviewed for publication!

The calls for the May/June issue are closed, and it's time to open the calls for the July/August issue! My, how time flies.

We are looking for the following project submissions for the July/August 2008 issue:
