No stamp? No worries!

Sometimes  I find myself limited by the number of stamps that I own.  I get an idea in my mind of what I want to do, but realize that I don’t have an appropriate stamp to carry that vision out.  While browsing through stamp sets online recently, I had a bit of a DUH! moment.  I decided to try my hand at drawing my own images.  Now, I don’t want to lose those of you who think of themselves as “non-artistic”.  The images I created are very simple and easy to duplicate.  I don’t consider myself a talented sketch artist either, but a simple outline can be easy, especially if you find an online picture you can copy.

For this card, I drew some simple holly berries and leaves.  I colored them in with Copic markers and cut the image out.  It’s not so different from using a stamped image.

Next time when you see a stamp that you just HAVE to have, but the budget is cinched up tighter than Scrooge’s fist, try a simple sketched image!
